Grown by my friend Mikala Brant on her ARC permaculture farm, this butternut squash is rich tasting with a velvety flesh. It was originally bred by Charles Leggett USA (1940). The crookneck squash is its ancestor variety.

Sow: Indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost or direct seed after last frost 1’’ deep

Harvest : When fruit is ripe and leaves have turned brown
