Grown on the farm, this perennial Egyptian heirloom is renowned throughout history for its use in candy making, especially in France. We love this medicinal root in our herbal apothecary. Used as a mucilage for our toughest coughs and inflammation, it is sweet and easy for kids to take as it is in no way bitter.
Seed: Indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost - gently on surface of a pot with moist soil, cover with small layer of sand and put in fridge for 2 weeks before trying to sprout the seeds.
