An Abenaki heirloom, we got this seed from Fred Wiseman’s
Seeds of renewal project in Vermont. Small delicious popcorn. Great for school gardens, ready when kids come back from summer vacation. www.alnobaiwi.org
Sow: Direct sow in Mid-May (after risk of last frost) Harvest: When leaves are brown and cobs are swollen. Make sure to break off the little sucker cob that starts growing on the stem at the bottom of the plant. It will never give seed and will just suck vital energy from the seeds already higher up on the stem. [icons]
